How is flatpack furniture delivered?
Our flatpack furniture will be unassembled and delivered in boxes by the Red Apple Furniture Delivery Team or one of our third party couriers. Some of the larger products might come in more than one box and some items might be quite big and heavy, so it would be worth having these products delivered straight to your home.
Does the flatpack furniture require assembly?
Flatpack furniture will require assembly and we will try to note this on the relevant product page. The parts which require assembly may come with a step-by-step assembly guide. If such guide is provided, please follow its instructions carefully when assembling the product as there are specific parts for specific purposes.
Please note:
Some of the larger products might need more than 1 person to be assembled.
Some products will require basic tools to be assembled (see also Do I need tools to assemble the furniture).
Do I need tools to assemble the flatpack furniture?
Yes, there will be some products which require simple tools for assembly such as a Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver and a mallet. You should not use power tools to assemble furniture products as there is a risk that it may damage such products.
Do you offer assembly assistance?
Unfortunately we don’t currently offer any assembly assistance. Our furniture products may come with a simple, step-by-step assembly guide that details exactly which tools, pieces and parts are required for each step.
Can I return a flatpack furniture item?
Unwanted furniture products can be returned if they comply with our Returns Policy, i.e. if they are undamaged, unused and in their original packaging. We won’t accept unwanted flatpack furniture products which have been assembled, so please be sure of your purchase before putting it together.
Damaged or defective furniture products may be returned in terms of our Returns Policy.
Do you offer extra or replacement parts?
We don’t keep stock of any additional parts, so please be careful and follow the instructions set out in the relevant assembly guide (if provided) to the letter.
What if a part is missing?
If you have reached a step and find that you are missing a part (e.g. screw or bolt), you should:
Re-read the current step in the assembly guide (if provided) to make sure you’re looking for the right part.
Retrace your steps to see whether you didn’t use a part incorrectly in a previous step.
Look through all the packaging to ensure the missing part isn’t hidden in the corner of a box.
If you are still unable to find the missing part, you will need to return the product for a replacement, subject to our Returns Policy.
